This class will teach the basics of painting with acrylics to beginners and encourage intermediate students to explore their own techniques and creativity.
Subjects will varied, elements of composition will be explored, colour and brushstroke will be encouraged. The class will cover many aspects of the medium and techniques, including the addition of mixed media and acrylic mediums.

Wood engraving is an age-old relief print-making method used for creating small and highly-detailed images using end grain wood. It was traditionally used to illustrate books and newspapers throughout the 1800 and early 1900s. In this 1 day workshop students will learn:

methods of carving the block using traditional engraving tools.
how to print your wood block (without a press)
